Christophe Lemaitre (born 11 June 1990 in Annecy, France) is a French sprinter, who specialises in the 100 and 200 metres. His surname "Lemaitre" translates as "The Master". He is the French 100 m record holder with a time of 9.97 seconds as well as being the first Caucasian to break the 10-second barrier in an officially timed event. He is also tied with Gilles Quénéhervé as the French 200 metres record holder.
