Within the framework of the study of the phenomenon of floods in Tunisia and their frequency, particularly in cities, this book analyses the process and general mechanism of runoff and flooding in urban areas. It also focuses on natural and anthropogenic factors favouring runoff in the Essijoumi catchment area and the estimation of runoff coefficients by the Soil Conservation Service "SCS" method. It attempted to identify the hazard, vulnerability and flood risk in the watershed under study. Finally, some suggestions and development solutions were proposed for flood control.
