Within the content of the work, the problem of the conditioning of freedom within the context of the consumer society will be addressed, as a result derived from the power structure that is configured within the globalized market economy, and a description of the control mechanisms from which the consumer is conditioned will be made. Finally, the effects derived from the conditioning of freedom imposed by the consumer society will be determined. Within this study, the determining effect that material and symbolic conditioning have on the unconscious will be shown.
