In the 21st century, the problem of childhood disability is becoming increasingly urgent. According to the WHO, people with disabilities make up 12% of the world's population, of which 120 million are children and adolescents. Disabled children in the Russian Federation constitute about 12% of the total number of all people with disabilities. According to the structure of children's disabilities, mental retardation prevails, including diseases of the nervous system - more than 65%. Almost every tenth person with a disability has a partial or complete inability to work independently, including limitation of social functions.
