Martín Alejandro Hernández Mendez (born January 19, 1992) is a Mexican actor and model, known in Latin America and the United Kingdom for his roles as Octavio in Guillermo del Toro's horror film The Devil's Backbone, and as Marcos in the drama film, Love, Pain and Vice Versa. Hernández started in show business as a child fashion model for magazine advertisement and television commercials. At age 11, he began his acting career in the film industry, after a couple of films he made two soap operas; in 2008, he made his motion picture debut as a lead actor by playing a drug addicted teen. Hernández will released his directing debut film in 2010.
